Hi all, looking for some suggestions on my non-B Body, my 1993 D250.

The transmission shifter (manual) has a rubber bushing isolator built into it.

The material is similar to a harmonic balancer, or spring bushing.

The bushing is shot, and it is made into the handle.

Does anyone here have any suggestions on who might be able to replace or build this bushing?

It would likely have to be melted out and re-poured -- sort of like when a harmonic balancer is rebuilt.

Its not a replaceable bushing and everything is discontinued.

This truck was an OE restoration, so wanting to keep it OE without going to another shifter.

Thanks!

I dont have the shifter out of the truck at the moment; still driving it; but; it is very similar to this picture; other picture is from the parts diagram;

Basically the rubber bushing is inside the lower larger diameter part of the shifter, and the shaft that connects it to the transmission fits into the bushing; circled in blue. Its completely shot so the shifter has a bunch of extra play.

Can't you cut the bushing area off the stick and weld on a threaded, solid steel replacement? Just let it vibrate more.
