Featured in the J.C. Whitney catalog!
That, and "Born to be Wild" . Getchur motor running, head out on the highway! The Ultimate Driving Song!
I remember seeing tower mounted pushbuttons in person, many MANY years ago. To be honest, I think it was in a Mopar powered Anglia. Memory is hazy after all these years.I will never give up my pushbuttons!

Wasn't the Long, and the Mr. Gasket V-gate virtually the same shifter? My race setup for the Face-plate 5-speed Richmond. It shifts like butter.

I've had both shifters and the Long is much stronger and tighter. The levers are thicker and the gate ramps are machined with the Long and the Mr.Gasket uses stamped gates and levers.Wasn't the Long, and the Mr. Gasket V-gate virtually the same shifter?
I had a vertical gate in a gasser Nova, long time before everyone had a phone in their pocket. No shots.
We had one of those in our 65 Coronet we raced back in the 70s. Ours was round, without park lever. 440 with tunnel ram, 2 660 holleys.I will never give up my pushbuttons!
