Good Morning,

Looking for a recommendation of a local shop to perform an inspection, and possible mechanical work, on my car (79-300).
Would love to keep it in the Metro Detroit area and closer to the East side if possible.

Thanks.

Get in touch with Gary Jacobs @ Jake's Automotive; he's a Mopar expert--after my complete resto, Gary set up the carburetors, distributor, front end alignment, brakes, and did a complete safety check before the car's maiden voyage. He's raced Mopars since the early Max Wedge days and currently is the exclusive custodian for several privately owned cars. He's not expensive, nor is he cheap; he's just one of the best! And, he's an east sider (on Triangle Drive just west of Van Dyke).

you might could try FBBO's very own Detmatt...if he can't do it, im sure he knows who can!!

Do You Remember When Mancini's Shop Sat On E. McNichols (6 Mile Rd) In The Day? I Remember Going In And Out Of There In The 70's And 80's When Ron And Lou Worked There. Mopar Race Cars Of All Sorts!

Terry,
Good to hear from you. Sort of "skimmed through" the 70's and 80's--got married in 69 upon leaving the military, worked full-time while finishing college and starting a family--didn't get back into this wonderful hobby until the 90's and so, missed out on Mancini's place on McNichols. I know of the great Mancini/Chrysler legend--but didn't get to experience it at the time. On another subject, post some pictures of your car with the newly painted wheels and fat tires--would like to see em! All the best, Bob
