Hi all,

Just got my new champion radiator (cc1640) that is to suit a 67-69 b-body. So it has 4 studs for the shroud.

Went to mate it up to the shroud I have but it doesn't fit. The shroud I have is a mopar performance (P2785434) to suit 67-69 b-bodies, it has 5 holes for studs.

So is one of them wrong? I can probably drill the shroud to suit the radiator but it just shits me that I have the 'right' parts and they don't fit.

Maybe if we can clarify the parts compatible here we can save someone else getting incompatible parts.

Cheers

My understanding is that champion radiators fit b bodies but are not factory direct replacements, meaning things like shroud mounting and radiator hose location could be a bit off. I bought a summit radiator, which is not supposed to be even close to factory fit, and I fabricated my own shroud from fiberglass to fit. Turned out great.

Perhaps it's time to talk to your champion representative. There is one on moparts and I think there is one here on FBBO too?

Just drill new holes in the radiator side tabs. Make sure you dry fit before you drill because you will want you're fan to be centered in the shroud.
