The better half and I are going up through Wisconsin to Mackinaw then down through Michigan. Are there any cool things to see? Might hit the Henry Dorly Ford Museum. In Dearborn.

Tim Horton Doughnuts and Pancake House in Detroit... Is the Chrysler museum still open? What route are you taking through Wisconsin?

Don't know yet but headed to Mackinac Island

After Mackinac, you may want to see Traverse City and or Charlevoix, then continue south to Ludington (very nice town on the big lake, sand dunes, a very nice summer resort) continue south along the lake then head east Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, etc....through the rolling farmlands to Detroit.
After you get to Detroit you may want to check out some of the car factories, the Michigan Central train station and possibly even stay at the elegant Lee Plaza hotel:

Did that same route last year with the kids. Menomonie to Mackinac island.

I wished we went up further to white fish but only went to taquamenon falls. Damn the Mosquitos are bad up there. Holy hell.

Planned om Whitefish, Edmund Fitz Gerald

Gilmore car museum Hickory corners Mi (by Kalamazoo MI) one of the top 5 in the nation. The Western Michigan Mopar clubs annual car show is July 30th and ever Wednesday a free cruse in from 5pm to 9 pm. Usually 300 or so cars.

There was a car show in mackinaw city when we were there last year. Didn't spend too much time at it. Took several photos. I'm assuming it was the end of this month so if you are going soon you might catch that too.

Are you driving your GTX?

UP of Michigan. Sidetrack Bar. Friendly locals. Mid 80's motorcycle trip. Loved it. Bridge trip in the rain. Henry Ford Museum a must-see. Iron Mine?

ohhhhh, and take one of the ferries back across the lake and SKIP chicago....although there are plenty of kool things in chicago...depends what you are in to

Yes, Henry Ford Museum, WPC Museum, Edmund Fitzgerald at Whitefish Bay - all great stops. The Sioux Locks are cool, too - fun to see the 1,000' ore freighters go through there.

Good call Rakort, I forgot about Mega Parts! Won't be driving the X, not done yet.......

There is this on I94 in Allen Park. Close to The Henry Ford Museum.
