SMS Auto fabrics

4 weeks for my NOS Headliner and seat covers. I called 2xs.
The lady answering the phone was rude as hell

I'm glad to here the Belvedere stuff can be had. Thought I was going to have to settle for fury stuff as well.

I dont mind waiting if the parts are good, but the lack of customer survice and honestly really bother me.

Maybe there a branch of Indy cylinder head, LOL But if it's the only place to get them , and you want to use your car you might get the Fury ones for now. Then sell them when the Belvedere ones show up. You'll be out some bucks, but you'll get to drive your car.

Update, Sent them an email on aug 27, recived an answer sept 18, "panels scould be ready to ship next week".
Time will tell!

Wrote the owner of the company an angry email ( late april) that said I will cancel my order if I cant get the panels in June.
( I payed for the panels dec 2014)

No answer from the owner (waited 2 weeks), re sent the email to customer service, they told me the panels would be shipped last week at latest.

I will send them a request for a tracking no, but I will most likely not be given one.

Well,
Considering I sent a Rochester Quadrajet (RA I Pontiac) into Cliff's Carbs, MI and they told me 1 year, SMS does not seem that bad!
In my findings,
1. Just Dashes
2. SMS
3. Instrument Specialties
And other quality "World Class" service facilities have a long wait, because there are others "in-front" of you.

I got an idea , ask them how many hours goes into the average door panel then give them an extra 5or6 bucks an hour to hire more people . Myself, I always ask how long something will take when I have special order. It's a patience game and from what I hear , it pays off , my.02$

Usually there are many other individuals already "in line" ahead of you.

As I stated earlier, I don´t mind waiting IF they can be honest and just tell people how long it really takes.
Their web site says a couple of month, they always tell you´re next in line and lie about the time of delivery.
I´m amazed they still have customers. And after much research on the internet I´ve found ALOT of consumer complaints.
Is it so damn hard to be honest to people.
Yes, I´m very angry.
BUT, I really hope SMS gets thru this time and deliver.

Got respond from SMS today, the panels are ready to ship but they want to charge me another 147$ for the shipping costs, I already payed 200$ for the shipping in 2014.
These panels have now cost me about 1845 us dollars and soon 2 years of my life.
I´m so angry right now and would really like to tell them to go f**k them selfs, but that would not help me at all, guess I just have to bend over, relax and pay them.
What would you guys do?

I'd pay it,get your stuff....then make a complaint to them & your CC company.
Tell your CC company they ripped you off and charged you twice for shipping and ask for a charge back of the $147.

Im soo happy right now:thumbsup:
Got my door panels yesterday, and a big rock just fell from my sholders.
Expensive, yes, long wait, yes, SMS did a really good job, if they had bettet customer service and would be honest about their delivery times I would not hesetate to do buissnes with them again.

I got blue ones for my 64 Savoy.. The front and rear lines did not line up with each other and the rear ones were too short front to back.
I called and talked to the owner Doug Pollock. First thing he said, DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM????
Send them back and we will re do them you must pay shipping both ways. I really did not want to deal with him or them again.
So I installed them and moved on. They do look good on the car just not correct fit. Unless I point it out nobody notices.

For that kind of time and money, you could learn to make them yourself. Ill add them to my list of companies not to do business with.

That´s how I feel, I don´t want to do business with them ever again because the lack of customer service and the constant lying regarding the delivery times. Doug is a prick, and the only time he answered my emails, were when he wanted money.
Unfortunate sms are the only company on this planet that do correct interiors for the belvedere 64. I need the correct fabrics for the seats as I´ve got the fury fabrics in my car at the moment.

I didn't have mine mounted as I was concerned that my metal part may have been lost in transport from Aus to USA .
So I got them in kit form....that is the vinyl was Di electrically embossed with the foam backing.also got the backing boards, window whiskers.
It is a blessing in disguise as I can line them up when I mount them and it will be perfect.
I also got the impression Doug was always money hungry.

You can do them yourself but you need the embossing ! In my case it was for both the door panels and seat backs.
I did consider doing the embossing but finding a RF machine here was fruitless .
I need carpet so maybe I would buy again but how would I know how long THAT would take??

They were the only ones that had 62 Polara 2 door panel patterns so went with them.
Wasn't in a hurry when ordered so after 14 months I got them and needed by then . Excelant quality and pricie put great stuff.
