My last time out ... waited until noon to get time runs, but they still got all the racing in. I think it made it to 40 degrees that day! That was Oct. 24, can't wait for April 18 to go get some more! Parked next to my buds Torino.

You know;up here in the lower portion of the Great White North,we have machines for those conditions. We call them Arctic Cats,Ski-Doos,Polaris',Rupps,etc. We race the hell out of 'em as well.

We have a yearly gathering of the vintage snowmobile crowd about a good stone's-throw away from Lapeer Dragway. You have to drive by the track to get to the host's residence. To a person,as we arrived,we all stated: "Wow,would it be fun to have access to the track?",knowing full well we'd blow up every machine at the get-together. Hey,it's only money, and most of us have spare engines and machines-these things are still relatively cheap to own-so it's not like we'd be damaging original MW engines or anything like that.

Up here in central WI the local drag strip in Kaukauna shuts it down the tail end of september.I think Union Grove in the southern part runs till the snow flys and opens as soon as the track melts off.Early and late season with a winter coat.

Amen! Nothing like cat walking a ski-doo across a frozen lake for a few blocks.
