Fun thread... what is the strangest, most expensive, oddest car you have sat in, driven, ridden in? Me?

I got a ride in Bob Kropp's 70 Hemi, 4 speed, no console, bucket seat Superbird. Sat in Jack McCoy's 69 Winston West Daytona, cant imagine 500 miles in that.

My wife got to drive that 'Bird...years ago...I still have not, yet...LOL

Most expensive - My QX56 when I bought when before it was a year old. Everything else I have been is since is pretty run of the mill. I'm not even sure I have ever even ridden in an old VW Bug.

Kind of sad now that I think about it. Thanks a lot guys!!

Years ago, I owned a 68 Barracuda rolling shell. I sold it for 400 bucks. A few years later, that guy sold it to one of the Hemi Super Stock racers, and it is now supposedly racing on that circuit. (Joe Teuton)

Probably the most expensive & absolutely the coolest/rarest car was a real 1 of 6 made 1965 Daytona Cobra 427ci, but worth several million $$$'s, but I couldn't drive it, just sat in it making noises, like a little kid...

the fastest was a 245" rear engine dragster, former Coors Light Silver Bullet T/F old racecar, with an 14:71 Blown Enderle Injected alcohol 526ci Milodon Mastodon {latter had in my car} blew the tires off on a 5.90 @ 227mph, final licensing pass, but didn't get to run it again...

probably the fastest "feeling", truly an E-Ticket ride, was my S/E {7.90et class} or Comp Eliminator or AA/Gas 23 T Altered alcohol injected 6.90 @ 190's all day long, on a 125" wheel base F/C chassis, had several different engine trans combos, Lenco/Jeffco's, Power Glides & 727 Clutch-Flite's from 301ci 6.71:1 Blown Gas to 526ci 14.71:1 Blown Alky match racing combo & various other Injected combos too, Mopar & GM...

or my 89 Camaro Outlaw P/S 7.00's @ hi-180's or 92 Trans Am Pro-Mod best 6.69 @ 217mph {2007 last competitive pass} or my 49 Ford Pro Gas best 7.20's @ 188mph or my 71 Camaro Super Comp 8.90 car back in 1984ish or my old 68 RR 3520#'s on drag radials & on 300 shot of juice 8.58 @ 156mph 2007, now that was a fun ride...

Having had a Pro &/or Comp license since 1977, I've driven allot of fast & cool cars, even went 160mph Outlaw Sprint Car on dirt...

Raced a guy in my Mustang that had a Pantera. Pulled over, BS'd a while and gave me a ride. 600 hp 408 windsor and pulled my ear drums out in the corners.

I bought a blue/white GTS new in '97 & sold it 8 years later with about 12K on the clock. This was the 2nd most expensive car I had....

It hauled *** & had the best factory exhaust tone! Cool car, but unfortunately, the suspension was so stiff, it would rattle your filling out.

I don't have anything expensive or exotic. I hate to say it, but the most expensive cars I have driven in are all Chevy's. A 62 Corvette and a 63 split window. Both red 4 speed 340 horse 4.11s. The split window was actually cool as hell - drove absolutely fantastic. Also, my father-in-law has a 62 bubble top bel air Z11 that was owned by Reggie Jackson. He races it in a lot of nostalgia races. Cool car and fast too. I just looked for a picture of it when I brought it don for a car show but I can't seem to find it. Damn...

I used to own and drive one of these to work everyday for about 3 months (nearly 30 years ago)

Not easy when you are 6'4"...occasionally i would flip back the sunroof and drive with my head out the top
