All I hear is...blah, blah, blah

Who needs an iron block when you can have one of these. Never again for me. Iron is just too heavy.

Aluminum may be the way to go.... It's hard to get over the hump of 5K for an Indy Block or 7K for a KB + waiting 12mo. That's a big nut to crack to get started...

I talked to a guy from Mancini at the Mopar Nats and he said that Arrow was casting the blocks as he spoke..... I guess he was wrong. I talked to Russ Flagel at PRI last year and he said that Arrow was tooled up and waiting on a PO from Chrysler.

I don't get it.

Has anyone gotten and HP bock yet? They look to be a good alternative but I haven't heard if anyone has gotten one off of them yet.

Ordered my block back in mid-March, still don't have it, and delivery date is always 2 weeks from the current date. I had the guy at the dealership counter call and verify that MP was going to cast new blocks before I placed the order.

The fellow at MP in charge of shipping them claimed they were at the mercy of the crate engine builders as far as block availability. I was told I am supposedly 4th in line for my particular part #. Who knows if any of this is true...

Here's what I do know. Summit has added the crate motors back into their paper catalog, and they've been in there for the last two issues. However, if you check their website the ship date is 2 weeks out from the current date, same as my block.

I managed to find a reasonably priced unused mega block and bought it, but I'm going to leave my order placed and see what happens.

I just spoke with the owner of HP Products and he has no iron blocks and does not expect to get more any time soon. He will have 16 more aluminum blocks in two weeks and has a list of 18 people waiting.

Money isn't the issue. I just don't want an aluminum block.

I find this funny.....

" Switched all the parts out of my mopar mega block to the indy aluminum block and haven't made a clean pass in the coronet since. Oil pressure isues kept me from being in the 8's this year with it."

Brand new iron hemi block. Should have it in a few days.

big bore, stock bore, HP products, world, older MP....? Details, man. What combo are you building?

We have been waiting for more than a year on Ken Black for our KB Hemi block. Even went out to his shop from Michigan and visited with him last May. Hoping to get it before we need it.

Picked up my block from the dealership yesterday, and it only took 9 months to get here! The machining is way nicer comparing the new one to the old one. The ARP fasteners aren't the same either.

I didn't have the heart to put it the garage where it would rust up so its going to be an expensive coffee table for a while...
