I had an old friend who used to host a yearly Superbowl party.
I really looked forward to seeing him and his wife, and some other mutual old friends there I rarely see anymore. They stopped having the party maybe 5 years ago, and that’s probably the last time I saw even one minute of the game. I wish the party still happened but the game itself was of only a little interest to me then, and no interest to me now.
The ratings seem to indicate I’m a small minority though. The people I know say they aren’t interested either but the rest of the country still loves the hype and marketing I guess.

I don't do sports and really don't care, but I'm from the show me state and for that reason, I hope KC takes it. As far as The swifties go, I don't do her music or her political viewpoints. They're a cash cow that's brought in over 330 million dollars more than they've ever made. Small businesses in my state are making money off those that buy into her bullshit. My states in the black and this only helps.

Sorry, the NFL is not trying to put it behind them.
They still have the black national anthem played, it is just not televised because they know it hits the ratings.
They hand out political and "social justice" oriented things at the games. Recent lions game it was a bunch of cards for the viewers to hold up that says "end racism" again not on TV for ratings.
The NFL is still trying to appease their masters, just more on the down low because people are sick of that BS.
Swifty is simply another tool in their tool box, the entertainment organization sensationalizes drama and hollywood is a big part of their plan right now.

I got up today and thought to myself "Sunday, gotta work tomorrow, what should I do today though?" The "you are a bigot" league didn't even cross my mind until I saw this thread.
