I'm not too narcissistic to admit that I've done that. It was my father-in-laws brand new rig which he insisted I try out. We were fishing from his boat on a cold morning and I was wearing cotton gloves (big mistake). First cast and the whole works slipped out of my hand and went in the drink. Made a trip to Bass Pro the next day, got him an identical rig and myself a pair of grippy gloves. You WILL pay for your mistakes!
