I look at them and see what appears to be a car with a small payload area, almost as if being a TRUCK is an afterthought.
They are selling though. Obviously, I am in the minority. I prefer the regular cab short bed for my needs.
I often wonder....with new vehicles and new clothes: Do we just buy what is being offered or do the manufacturers somehow know what we need then provide it?
I suspect the former.
I recall seeing swimming trunks in the 80s getting longer and longer. I grew up wearing shorts that ended mid-thigh. Today, most are at the knee or longer. I think they look dumb as **** but I buy what is being made only because I cannot make my own clothes. Today you see guys wearing these denim "shorts" and knee high socks. Tell me that this isn't a stupid fashion choice !
I bought a 2002 Ram because I was restoring the Charger and didn't have time to keep dumping money into my 400,000 mile '84 Chevy. The Chevy was a great truck, simple to work on, lots of room to haul stuff. Visibility was great. I still like the looks of the 73-87 GM trucks as well as the 72-80 Dodge trucks.
