Was just looking here after my recent experience with Year One and see this is standard practice with them. I ordered one of the reproduction batteries from them a month ago - $413 total cost! I had called prior to my order and asked about delivery since they noted the items ship from the manufacturer. I was told to figure on up to 4 weeks. So I figured, ok I still have four weeks before the season starts. After several attempts to contact them this week to get a status they tell me it will be another 4 to 6 weeks- at best! With the season right around the corner I can’t wait for another couple months for a battery so I cancelled the order so I can get something to run my car with. They had the gaul to charge me $5.54 just to cancel the darn order. Needless to say I am done with Year One.

I dealt heavy with Year One 20 years ago. Stopped when their shipping costs went crazy around 2010 or so.
I waited 5 years for a back order just to see if I would ever get it.I did. They would send me e-mails asking if I wanted to cancel. Always responded no. Never thought they would come thru.

Here is a much cheaper option if local car shows and cruise nights are your main focus. This would not be correct for judged resto shows. $150.00 Walmart Group 27 battery with $25.00 Weskcar cap and decal kit.

Don’t try to order anything from Legendary Interiors right now either…
It was a 20 week wait from them…or so they said…that’s when I bailed…

Haven’t ordered from them in years. The price on shipping , their attitude and wanted to charge for package protection.

I lost an $800.00 Boring Bar through the USPS and had to refund the money to the buyer, so
I got burned with no insurance! Don't let it happen to you!

A day the life of a drop shipper business. Year One and Classic should have bought any suppliers they could when things were good. That, or invested in inventory from them. It sucks to not have total control of your product.
