My drivers side exhaust hanger, at least that's what I call it. Don't know if there's a more correct term.
ANYWAY, the hard "compound flexible material" is torn. It appears that the material is riveted to the metal parts. Do they sell a reproduction part for this?

BTW, it a '68 Road Runner. Mostly original but can't say if previous owners changed the mounting but looks factory to me,

Any suggestions where to get?

You can buy a new reproduction exhaust tip hanger, or drill the rivets out and cut a piece of old car tire if you have one, and bolt it back together. Even a local auto parts store probably has a generic exhaust hanger you could steal the rubber part off of.

Go on NAPA's site and surf exhaust hangers, there's lots to look at and you'll find something similar. Good Luck

That’s not a factory hanger. Post #2 has it right, repair that one.

Why would he want to repair a non-factory hanger if he can get a true replacement?????:screwy::screwy:

Thanks guys. I did a little more investigation and I'll probably drill out the rivets and replace the strap.

Thanks again to all.

I don’t know, it felt like what he wanted, and it turns out that’s what he’s gonna do!

Just as any FYI. It looks like your car has exhaust tips and not just turn downs? If so these are the correct brackets that support the tip/rear of the tailpipe.

Those tips don’t have the hanger tabs on them.

Yea I couldn’t tell in the picture if it is maybe broke off or just out of the picture more towards the rear? Or not there at all cause they aren’t factory style tips?

69a100, I agree, except looking and researching it, the chrome exhaust extensions are not factory either, hence, the mickey mouse hanger used. Not looking to replace the chrome exhaust tip with factory $$$$ , then the correct hanger, etc etc (mission creep) I'll hobble up a suitable hanger. Ascetically, it will look OK. But thanks again to all.

You might want to think about doing both sides if they are the same age and one broke...
