Backyard hanging bird feeder. We have a few squirrels that hang around cleaning up what the birds kick out.
I eat a apple close to every other day.
Open the back door when it's gone and toss the core at the bird feeder area.
Many days at least 2 of our furry tree vermin will try to nab that apple core this leads to some real funny moments.

Enter ... a zebco and some 14lb test.
1 kinda bored recently retired bodyman. No hook (catch and release).
I will do my best to get this on video.
This could be a dud or fun as hell.

I'd go with a 4 or 6 lb test, and a light to medium flex rod....... you are sport fishing, not trying to fill the live well in a tourniment

:rofl:it took me awhile to give up the hook.

Yeah, go hookless.

The tricky part would be casting.

I had one come down the chimney and out of the firebox into the house years ago. It was very much like Christmas Vacation getting it out of the house.

I‘ve had one of those little bastards frequent my patio and planting beds for the last many years. The little prick is as brazen as they come. Wouldn’t mind so much but the thing spends a lot of time digging holes in areas I don’t want holes and surfacing flower bulbs etc. Ive been thinking maybe a load of double OO should do it - Kind of like killing a mosquito with a baseball bat….. Lol

Yeah - wouldn’t do that - my wife loves the little critter…..

Day 2, bait & pole is ready,
area baited and ready.
It's like cat fishing, got to wait them out.
Cold and windy today. My camera woman is now on strike, more pay and Benny's, OK I can do both.
This will happen.

Put some peanut butter on your finger and stick it through the fence.
Maybe you’ll catch him Okie Noodlin’ style…

Tree Rats love Mopars too!

They loved my Ram 5 times so far. Here's some of their handiwork......

They loved my Renegade once.........

They made a nest under my Ram air filter element and had 4 more rats.............

Pulled them out of the air cleaner and put them in a planter basket on the curb. Hours later the mother picked all four out an took them down the block.
She came back a 5th time to make sure she didn't leave any .............

I draw the line at tearing up property. At that point they are in the pot.

my Rottie killed everything......... cats, groundhogs, oppossums, skunks, rabbits

I always took her trophies to the creek for the turtles.......

11 years, never got a squirrel, and I have lots of them

They got into my Roadrunner
Chewed up the foam in my heater box and vent boxes
What a mess. Hence the hate for them. I have killed hundreds of those tree rats over the years. Two this weekend alone.

I’ll never know why/how I could have stored my X in that pole barn out in the country for soooooo frickin long and not a tooth mark or **** dropping to be found in that car when I took her out to begin resto. Muscle car gods must have been overseeing things…..

Older guy I work with catches them in a live trap, paints them in various bright colors(orange, pink etc.) then lets them go, and all his neighbors can talk about is “have you seen those damn colored squirrels?”

My dog caught one the other day, they torment him
when he sees them, he usually chases them off &
he rarely ever gets close enough before they scale the fence
30' feet or so run from the further tree to the fence's edge

(I don't like him killing stuff, if I can help it, he's a soft mouth lab too)

I found it, an older male squirrel dead, not yet stiff
I think it's the one we call 'Rocky'
he messes (or used to) with my dog 'bad', sits there chattering at him
from the trees, throws pinecones & pieces down
or from the deck gate top railing/s, carrying acorns & runs off chatters some more
almost sounds like he's laughing at him

I found it (I think it's Rocky) with no tail & looked like no balls too,
dead on it's back, no real signs of bites, in the main body
very lil' blood except by the tail & where I assume it had balls,
found it just inside the fenceline & my dog's (Elvis's) latest poop,
'has a lot of gray hair in it'...
