Stellantis just made a major move in North America. Tim Kuniskis, the longtime Dodge and Ram boss known for his passion and performance-first mindset, has been appointed to a new role: Head of American Brands and North America Marketing and Retail Strategy. In this expanded position, Kuniskis will report directly to Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa and will be in charge of strengthening the connection between Stellantis’ American brands and their customers, while still continuing as CEO of the Ram brand.

The goal is simple—build stronger brands, better products, and deeper relationships with buyers and dealers across the U.S. and Canada.

“Connecting with our customers, delivering the products and experiences they want, is critical to reaching our full potential,” said Filosa. “Tim has proven time and time again that he is masterful at building brands that reach the heart and soul of the customer. We will leverage his energy, his strategic mindset, and his competitive spirit to supercharge all our brand activities.”

As if that wasn’t big enough, Stellantis also announced the return of its legendary performance division—Street and Racing Technology (SRT). The high-performance engineering team will now officially be reassembled under Kuniskis’ leadership. That means all go-fast efforts across Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep®, and Ram will be united under the SRT banner, with a renewed focus on making high-performance machines for both the street and the track.

Kuniskis summed it up best: “We’re getting the band back together. SRT is another box we needed to check as we head into a product launch cadence, enabling more performance than we’ve ever seen before. We’re working with our product development and technology organization to select the best engineers in powertrain and vehicle dynamics to build a team worthy of the SRT name.”

The revived SRT team will also oversee Direct Connection, Mopar’s in-house performance parts program. It will manage all North American motorsports efforts under Stellantis, including NHRA drag racing and Ram’s return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2026.

This move signals that Stellantis is serious about bringing performance back to the forefront in its American lineup. With electrified performance models on the way and customer loyalty stronger than ever, SRT’s return comes at the perfect time. And with Kuniskis at the helm, it’s safe to say things are about to get a lot more interesting for Mopar fans.

Tim Kuniskis to Lead Stellantis American Brands as SRT Returns

I'm hoping he can kick Chrysler in the butt, and get them to expand their portfolio beyond the minivan. Do something empowering like bringing back Imperial.

Just like the Blues Brothers, getting the band back together! We're on a mission from God!

A major reason behind the Ram brand’s spike in interest? The HEMI® V8 is officially back. After announcing its return in June, Ram received over 10,000 orders in the first 24 hours. Combine that with Ram’s new 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty, and it’s clear the brand is offering buyers more reasons to consider the vehicle.

Good.
Now dump the "Ram" name and go back to calling them Dodge trucks.

10 year warranty is enticing, but will they still be in business in 10 years?

Whiles it's a start. I have more skin in this game than most and would love to see this company move forward, but many other questions come up in my opinion. This new powertrain warranty covers the engine, transmission, transfer case, driveshafts, differentials, and axles for 10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. It applies to retail customers and business leases, but fleet purchases are excluded...................... Also, it’s important to note that the warranty is only good for the original owner. This doesn't help their used car or resale market. There's a ton of stuff that can and does happen to a car that isn't covered. Sounds great for some. While engine and transmission issues are significant, other components and systems are also frequent sources of problems.

Hopefully they’ll give the Hellcat engine a revamp and a major diet. Was considering a hellcat swap and couldn’t believe the engine is an absolute boat anchor on the front end. The hellcat weighs more than my old 7.3 powerstroke in my farm truck and over 200 more pounds than a GT 500 predator engine. Thats insane.

Am I the only one who has no desire to own anything made after 2015, reliability and $$ sheering that comes with a new vehicle makes me want to throw up. I could go buy a new challenger or Ram, but if some major failure happened in the first 100k I would probably put a brick on the skinny pedal and point it to a brick wall:cursin:

It's a slow, lingering death. :p
If that slow lingering death includes a 1025 horsepower Challenger that runs eight second quarter mile times wheels up,with AC and a factory warranty count me in!

Some patients have a brief rally back to life before succumbing. A blip and then dead.
