I am having issues with my starting my drag car. I was going to the races today in Sonoma so I started up my car this morning to check my tranny fluid and it worked just fine. I went to put it on the trailer and it only clicked and didn't turn over at all.
I have the batteries fully charged both of them load tested them as well and there good. This has happened a few times before to me but them it would finally kick over. Today tried at least 10 times and all I got was a click (engagement but no cranking. Do you think the starter is bad or something else. Appreicate your answers.
Thanks

I would verify the starter relay first. Is it a mini starter (Nippondenso) or the original Mopar gear reduction deal? Before we can help you figure out the problem the starter must be identified.

You've probably already done this, but the first thing to do is remove the ground cables and clean both ends with a battery terminal tool. The same goes for the positive cables. A quick test is to turn on your lights (assuming you have at least one headlight) and try to crank the motor. If the lights go dim, the connections are probably OK and the problem lies in the relay or starter/solenoid. Most auto parts stores will load test the starter motor for you.
