Hi guys...who have used both these manifolds on their 383 and did you notice a difference?
I have used the original Torker on a 340 and was impressed despite the normal Torker bashing.

what two are you referring about AL.

For my 383 modified and driveline (auto and 3000 stahl) and 3.91 geared it works great but in the early days all stock it was out of place.

Don...looking for comparison. Stock 383 cast intake...6301 vs 383 Torker intake.

From back in the day, we did replacements on the stock intake with the original Torker. But, we didn't JUST replace the manifold. It was part of mods which included headers, usually a 3310 holley, recurved ignition. Sometimes a little head work, 3-angle valve job, perhaps a cam swap. But never just the manifold alone. But it worked, especially at higher rpms.

Pretty hard to do a comparison one car to another unless they are exactly alike. Variables Cam shaft, cam timing, headers, carburetor, Ignition, Ignition timing and curve, Overall engine condition and compression ratio, along with others.

That’s was my exact plan and did

I did this on my old 68 RR and it worked great. Nice crane cam, headers, mallory ignition, and holley 750. 4 speed with 3.55 gears and it ran really good.

tx guys...i have both and am undecided. Was hoping someone had swapped theirs and had the evidence.
MWbird...do you remember if lo rpm power was ok with the Torker? Car will never be raced, only street driven.

See the link I posted.

Torker is the last one tested.

They tested them all with no other mods to the engine.

You can use the "Performer" as a substitute for the factory iron intake, flow wise.
