Stomach turning..

It's just an opinion just like the one you gave for the Steve Barr car I'm sure there's plenty who didn't cate for it too. I agree it is kinda rude but to each his own. somebody likes the black
car since it has 37 bids and is up to 25,000
I like the Black, as i said in an earlier post, i dont like the flat color blacked out wheels, on any car, dont like the dash.....but i stepped init, i cant take it back.....but the reality is it's non productive to tear at stuff ..its negative energy.
Its just the Very Old Saying:
If One cant say something Nice, why say anything at all? I didnt come up with that wisdom. So im saying that i screwed up by the earlier comments i made when i said
Black face analog guages ONLY....i should have just said i like the black paint & left it at that.
There is obviously a lot Effort put forth to the car....it doesnt float my entire boat, but it's somebody elses vision that Worked Hard to meet.
I Respect Effort.

Man you guys are hard to please. I have nothing, so this would look good in my garage. I like different, and this is one of them. I say build it the way you want it! I know, bah bah bah!!

Atta Boy! A Lot said in an Economy of words

Purists went ballistic when i changed the headlights on this limited production, handmade car.....doesnt matter......it was mine.
I would do it again.

Another thread going down the tubes....people can express their opinions..you either agree or disagree and move on.....

Prolific posting with quoting others speaks miles of that individuals inadequacies......

I wouldn't buy it, but that's just me. I'm sure that some people look at the car and say "WOW". If that's what they like, fine. Somebody will buy the car and drive it prouly. Good for them. Better than a Prius.

The exterior of the black car has it's bad stuff, seen far worse thou...
Don't care for the interior much, but it's not mine either...

That silver Daytona Clone thing isn't all that bad, I'd make a drag-car out of it
I don't care for no sidewall tires very much, but I could make it work...

I can respect the time & work that goes into it, even if it's not my style,
but different strokes for different folks...

"Build them how you want them, use the parts you deem necessary,
drive it like you stole it, damn the rest, who cares what others think,
it's not their car"...

I use to be the self imposed president of the;
"anyone can restore a car, replace stocks parts, nut's & bolts, sheet-metal,
OE out of the box parts & interior etc., you know all that same ol' stuff,
you've seen 1000's of time already, but it takes a real man to cut one up, club"

I've changed a bit over time, now I like stock-ish appearing exterior
with all trick running gear & a few interior mods to suit my personal tastes...

Not everyone is a molded cookie cutter, has to be 100% OEM GYC type guy...

I've done my share of mods & been doing it for 40+ years now, taste changes,
I've also done my share of the over the top **** Retentive OEM purist stuff too,
I think now, I'll just stick with my own style now, ignore those that don't like it,
they can do their own style...

I have been involved in the variety of restos, chops, retro as yourself....at one time I had a tricked out slant six pushing 400 horses in a dart that Ended up as a full spread in MCG back in the day....but as yourself the original look etc grew on me as well...

True it is different strokes for different folks but everyone is entitled to an opinion and one can ignore it and move on....or just take it for a grain of salt and throw it over your shoulder.....

Horse Races. To each His own. Why is so easy to rag other People's ****, when at the end of the day, it's a kinda rude thing to do, & it isnt gonna create any big change in anything....just more jaw flapping.
Mmm.. I don't think it's rude if the owner never knows about it. I'm sure people have said horrible things about me behind my back... but it's behind my back. So who cares.

Anyway before I post this stuff I take a quick to look to see if the owner might be a member.. because then I WOULD feel bad. But I know we would have seen this one before if it had been a member. Anyway it's worth the risk of offending someone to share this with you guys.

I've been standing by my car at shows and had people come by voicing their negative opinions..... I just smile knowing I did something right:lol:. The way I see it is anytime you alter these old cars there's gonna be haters.....

Don't know what the headlight's are supposed to look like but they look correct for the car in my eyes, nice work Blade.

O.K. it seems that we have a very immature member on here that hits the dislike button on all your post????:realcrazy:
It's one thing to dislike a negative or poor post but there's nothing hear to be offended over?? Sorry just seems childish to me

Couldn't agree more, cookie cutter houses, cars, women, etc all get boring quick.

Dev, Thanks M8....on all counts. I'll try to economize these words. There were 401 Mangustas hand made. 1967-1971, prod ending with intro of Pantera....most were quad 5" beams set in nacelle.....during run, DOT mandated that the headlight beam had to be raised to keep trickling them into USA, so deTomaso made 50 cars with flip up head light boxes at end of fender decks, carrying 7" Marchal beams....the lights down sat in position as You see them, but they were at about a 20 degree angle pointing towards ground. Boxes were cable operated(He was broke, building car on shoestrings) when lights were deployed, they simply rotated up till straight, which set them above fender decks, totally desroying the lines.....hideous cock-a-roach look. Shy look down....buggy look up.....so i butched them in as seen. I didn't know much then, only about 7 yrs exp. at time....i appreciate the compliment......it was pretty flawed work.....a generous amount of brass & mudd. Car had been nosed & straightened before i got it in 79....no new nose sheet metal was available, they splashed the whole lower nose in fiberglass off of another car......their work was soft too......not getting it hung straight, so it was crooked some. Goose is only complete i ever did for myself....it's been everyone elses cars since 1980, trying to stay ahead. Now that i inherited my Late Brother's Bug, i have an opportunity to put to work for me what ive learned through the Years.
Thanks 747!
