I plan to replace the brake lines on my '67 GTX with stainless pre-bent from In line tube. I'm assembling parts now. It has 4 wheel manual drum brakes. The car is 1200 miles away as I'm in my winter home. As a result I don't know whether to order the "straight or hump" right front brake line option. Is there any way to find out from the fender tag or other documentation?

You'll need to pop the hood and look - the hump is for cars with A/C compressor that needs clearance, but I don't think the fender tag will tell you that info.

I have found when replacing lines with SS you really need to crank down on the fittings to avoid leaks. The OEM style steel lines seem to seal better at the flares. Just my experience from using SS in the past. I tend to prefer OEM steel for that reason.

SS should be tightened twice. Tighten then loosen then tighten again.

Yes, but even doing so requires a higher torque level than OEM steel especially at the proportional valve and diff y-block. With these being brass, it’s a balance of getting the malleable brass to form without the SS flare with causing damage / stripping. I’ve used both materials many times, and still prefer OEM style steel. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with OEM steel lines. Much easier to work with and it's not like you're going to drive these cars on the salty winter roads. The OEM steel will last a lifetime

I have noticed the line is different between a disc car and drum car. No pics though.
On the fender tag it would show a 9 under the second row D I believe, for disc brakes.
