Looks great. Is that a vacuum gauge on the console?View attachment 1994188I have one in my 66. I bought a sheet of clear plastic and glued it to the back of the bezel to “seal” the opening. Otherwise it’s installed as is. I’m very happy with it.

Just bought one. It looks like I would have to shave the bottom, like you said but it looks like I will have to shave the top as well for the face. Did you have to do that?I have a retro sound redondo installed in my 67. I love it. Went in easy, had to shave a little of the plastic off the lower side of the opening where it comes out of the dash but it’s not noticeable. Ran a mic up the pillar and mounted it in my headliner like a modern car. Hooked it up to the dash speaker and my two rear seat speakers and a sub in the trunk. All really easy. Looked and sounds great and I’ve got a radio equivalent to my ct5 haha.
I looked into that. Its like $700 to convert a radio with bluetooth.I like the Redi Rad, but heard the owners retired and it is out of production.
I'm leaning towards converting the factory radio as the best solution, but there's good conversions and really bad conversions out there.
I'm trying to put one in my 67 now and the angled part of the dash is giving me a problem. I had to mount it angled like the dash, but now I'm having a hard time with the brackets that mount it. Might have to add a couple of holes in those brackets.Have any members here put one of these radios in? I looked on their website and could find no photos of one installed in a 66/67 charger. Because of the angled face of the bezel I wonder if the install would look good. The radio itself looks good. I just wonder about the fit in a 66/67.
Where did you mount the rear support for the radio?View attachment 1994188I have one in my 66. I bought a sheet of clear plastic and glued it to the back of the bezel to “seal” the opening. Otherwise it’s installed as is. I’m very happy with it.
