Living an hour from their store makes them a clear choice for me but them continually raising the bar on customer service is enough reason for anybody to use them. I've always had good experiences with them in the past but today I was a bit shocked with how they handled something that was clearly my fault. Not having 3 hours to run up there and back and needing the parts before the weekend I ordered everything to finish off my A/C installation which arrived today........ I used Vintage Air's catalog to get the correct parts and odered what appeared to be the correct hardlines only to find out they weren't. Discusted that I'd pay shipping (previous order was $100+ so free shipping), spend more money (until I could return them) and have to wait even longer I reluctantly called them to get the correct ones coming, I explained what had happened and while expecting to hear the added cost the guy says "alright.... box up the ones you have and UPS will pick them up when he drops off the correct ones tomorrow..... there will be no additional cost"!!!!!! Are you kidding me? I screw up and they arrange everything to get me hooked up at no cost... that's costomer service right there haha. Love these guys

yep, I have to agree wit ya 747, they do have some of the best customer service around!

Gotta Love Summit and Jegs. I.d hate to have to go back to the old days .

X3 here . . . they've been one of the BEST companies that I've ever worked with ! !

I ordered some stuff from Summit Fri. night, it showed up Sat. morning. I don't know how they do that. Anybody remember Super Shops? Their service sucked, I'm thinking that's why they're not around any more.

i find jegs to be a little cheaper with most stuff ,like there online layout , never had a problem with customer service . parts come out of ohio. _DSC4961.jpg

Hot Rod Paradise, Reith auto, Midwest Auto Parts, and the Rod Shop .In Northern Ohio. OH and Lakewood industries, God bring back the 70's

I wish I had a performance parts retailer arou d me.... When we were younger we had several Super Shops and Compettion Sales...Comp sales always Seemed more geared to the racers (drag, dirt & asphalt)... Problem was we were dumb kids that could barely afford to buy chrome valve stems....If we need a carb or intake we went to NAPA or Hi-Lo and visited their single shelf inventory of hi po parts.... which by the way were all for sbc's....

I've never had a problem with Summit. With their western distribution center in Sparks Nevada they usually have the stuff I order to my door in 2-3 days with free shipping on any order over $99, which most of my orders are. I've also never had a problem with returns. If I have a problem with something they always make it right, no questions asked. If they have the parts I need, they get my business.

I deal with lots of smaller businesses, and they all seem to go the extra mile these days. Best prices and shipping, get my business.

shoot I ordered a set of slicks then decided I wanted the stiff sidewall slicks.they paid the return shipping for the slickes I couldn't believe it.they're the best

Yep I've been tooting the horn for Summit for 90% of my purchases...

Seems I rarely have to leave the house to get parts that I actually want...

Really nice since I'm in a rural area, because fuel would usually cost more than shipping...
Especially more so when it was near $5 per/gal...
I love I get the parts I want fast & always correct...

Most the time I get my orders in 2 days, with no special ordering, no lame backorders BS...
They have a few hubs all across the US, drop ship many parts too, straight from the mfgr.,
but the one in Reno Nevada area is where most mine comes from, a few come from Ohio, but
usually free shipping too...
I pretty much spend over $99 every time, I can easily find stuff I want, great customer service,
they stock most al the better mfgr.'s too & the site is really easy to navigate...

Hi have sk-speed here on long island they have been around forever , but every dam part is $10 to 20 dollars more than jegs or summit and then there's state sales tax i use them in a pinch, THEY HAVE FULL ENGINE SHOP ON PREMISES SK SPEED5.jpgSK SPEED 3.jpgSK SPEED.jpgSK SPEED 2.jpg

Even being across the border their stuff gets here the fastest and shipping is never outlandish like some other companies.

Summit will always get my business

Love Summit. Call Monday afternoon, package on the porch by Wed. Properly packed and correct. Overnighted to the Ski-Inn on the Sultan Sea when down on the road. Nowhere. Got it before Noon next day.

Yep - I'm a Summit lover too. I heard of them early on in my restoration and have been using them extensively ever since. I love their website and the customer service people are great. Always have a good attitude. I don't usually shop them to much because I find their prices to usually be competitive.

I heard of Year One at the same time and tried to used them but quickly found their pricing and shipping costs out of the market. Their sales are a joke in that everything is exempt from the sale. I've used a lot of different companies but Summit will always get my first shot and usually my business.

I have tried Summit and Jegs, both top notch.

My deals with Jegs were flawless.

Had a lot more deals with with Summit, got a crappy h pipe and headers (both by BBK) Summit went beyond what I thought any company would.
Exchanged the headers for free (warped flange)

Paid my mechanic to cut, re-bend, and re-weld a part of the H-pipe because it had been assembled slightly "off"

Great to read all the praise for both of these vendors. Thanks to all who shared their experience with them.

I have always been a jegs man I can't count the times they have gotten be out of a bind, no problems with returns and I have sent back many, not because of a bad product but because I changed my mind about using the item.Summit and jegs have always given me good service which is why they are still going strong.
