Survivor 74 Charger

Yes you need safe new radial tires, but those Time-Warp hubcaps a really cool. But I'm an old guy. That is one sweet find. Take care or it.

The car is 35 years old, and beyond just average. a bunch were made,(comparatively) but they are gone.30,000 or so, but 20,100 R/T's were made in 69, and 68,600 standards. so 74' production is low.Yours with 15k? gold mine.

Hello, I recently purchased a 74 Charger with less than 15k miles. All original including tires. Only part changed prior to my purchase was the batt. Looking for suggestions on how to preserve its value and deal with surface corrosion on parts like drums, leaf springs, and drive shaft which were never painted. Body, top and interior are almost like new. Also looking for advice on wheel and tire sizes. Want to go with 15" wheels, Indy style and maybe slightly wider tires in rear. 70s in front and 60s in rear. Thanks, JJ.

Just got my 74 SE back this past April, (bought it Nov 76/Sold it Nov 81) I'm going to go with Magnum 500's on it, with 275/60-15's(15x8) on rear and 235/70-15's(15x7) up front. Only my opinion though. Dress it the way you want it, but whatever, drive it and enjoy it. Don't keep it stored away and covered up. Show it off when weather permits. Welcome to the site!!:headbang:

Nice score! I picked up a 74 SE with 60K on it a little over a year ago and struggle with some of the same your going through. I did notice a few things about your car. Most SE's I've seen have chrome dual mirrors but yours are body color. I even have the original window sticker on mine and it says Dual Chrome Racing Mirrors if I recall. Maybe different option. Chrome is pitted and in bad shape. I like the looks of your painted ones. That thin black pinstripe matches the top. Another neat touch. And no A/C, especially where you bought it. Odd. If you want to keep the mid 70's look, I would throw some Keystone Klassics or Cragar SS rims on there though and stash the originals for future. Here's a couple of websites I found if your looking for some specs on the 1974's.

1974 survivor charger.

Welcome and congratulations on a really nice find. I know some say it's just a 318 car but it is a real nice original.Make it the way you want it. Personally I wouldn't change a thing. It's 41 year old survivor.

nice survivor 74 Charger

Nice score.

Good color combo.

I say bolt on a nice set of wheels and tires and enjoy.

Nice score ! Looks brand new. I think I have it's twin. But not near as preserved. Just get it safe to drive & have fun.

Very cool...I would keep it as is but new tires. That thing is very very nice.

Hello, I'm with you. I purchased a 74 Charger SE with less than 14K original miles in December ( all original except tires/ wheels/ steering wheel/ valve covers and air cleaner) and am also concerned with keeping it as is so I will be following any response you get.
