Hey guys, it has been awhile since I have posted anything, but the good news is my project car is starting to come along bit by bit. My car is a 1973 dodge charger and it doesn't have an engine or a transmission, but it is designed for an automatic and a big block v8. I would much rather have a manual set up when the car is all finished, so I was wondering if any of you guys could tell me everything that would need to be done to make the change. Thanks guys :D

complete 4 speed / bell housing/pressure plate/flywheel etc.
clutch / brake pedal assembly
4 speed hump
clutch rod / Z bar
ball stud
clutch fork

you will have to make sure your crank is drilled for a pilot bushing or have someone do it.
Im sure im forgetting something

Brewer's.

$4000.

You can use less parts if you use a hydraulic throw out bearing. You won't have to weld brackets or need a Z bar and ball studs. You will have to find a place to mount a small cylinder for the fluid. I find it an easier way to go on a car where originality is not an issue.

Brewers is a company that sells conversions and a bunch of other stuff.... best around unless you find a parts car with the whole drive train complete then rebuild that.... but there very scarce... maybe texas

I changed my 70 Superbee over just like you want to do years ago. I got lucky and found a completely rusted hull of a Road Runner that was an original 4 speed. If not for lucking up and getting it then I wouldn't even have thought about doing it.

I changed over my '68 Charger a while back from an auto to manual. I have a parts list, it should be similar to a '73

Brewers has nice quality stuff and are very knowledgeable with the conversion if you end up having to buy new.
