T10 Transmission

Hi Everyone,

I thought I did a better job of keeping all hardware labelled when we tore down the engine, however, I can't find any attaching hardware for the flywheel, pressure plate, bellhousing, etc. Anyone know where I can find what I need for this? Also, I was looking at the clutch fork and I can't tell how it is supposed to mount. The videos and other stuff I found online show a ball joint that the fork snaps into. There is not such joint on mine. There is a bracket that sticks out and the fork itself has a groove on there. Does it just sit on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've got the engine mostly assembled and will be getting the car back from paint later this week.

T10 transmission????? You are working on a MoPar, right?

Most factory Chrysler release fork pivots look like a piece of angle iron bolted to the inside of the bell housing with two bolts. The release fork pivots on the edge and a spring clip on the fork slips in the square hole in the pivot bracket to hold it in.

Ya it's a 1963 Sport Fury. From what i've read online 63 was the only year that had the Borg Warner T10 4 speed. What you described is exactly what I see on the inside of the bell housing and there is a metal tab on the release fork. I'm guessing this is the spring clip that goes into the square hole to secure it. Thanks so much for your response.

Not sure either what ya got there Jesse, but this is what it should look like. can't tell ya if you have a "later model" Mopar but I don't think they changed this set-up for a long time...

Yep that's pretty much what it looks like. Thanks so much! I'm trying to figure this whole transmission thing out. Does that eye bolt looking thing on the "other" end of the clutch release fork attach to the z-bar somehow?

Yes. It attaches to the z-bar stud with a spring clip holding on the stud.

Good to see you have the original shifter Sonny, mine's a factory T10 4 speed as well and I've still got the original shifter too. Got 4 T10s in the shed but now have an 18 spline box to go in.
