Hello!
I am installing an OER E body tach in my Charger and yes it will fit with a lot of modifications! I’m running an FBO ignition box and no ballast resistor, do I need an adapter to reduce the voltage from the coil to the tach or is this even a valid question.
P.S. I’m using OER E-body tach because the only one available is through classic and is a no name tach which has already failed once and their website has said coming soon for the last 2 months.

Thanks for any insight to this quandary!

An adapter has nothing to do with voltage. Its function is the smooth or translate the coil signal to the tachometer. These tachometers and ignitions can be a crap shoot. Best you can do is just try it first and see how the tachometer responds. If it works you are good if its erratic then you need to play with modifying the signal.

Thanks pnora !
I just wasn’t sure if me changing to an unresisted coil ignition had anything to do with the tach failure or it was simply a coincidence, again, thanks for the input! Kind of wishing I would’ve kept the clock
