My 68 Super Bee never had a factory tach. I've got a tach to put into the dash and the wire to connect it, but I don't know where it came thru the firewall. Do I have to drill a hole for the grommet or where is it routed? I looked in the FSM but could not find it.
Thanks

most factory tach wires went through the bulkhead connector in the same plastic piece that the wiper motor wires are in. You should have a few empty slots in there

These cars had a hole in the firewall just for the tach wire next to the bulkhead from factory. I think there is a dimple in the firewall on non tach cars. I'll try to remember to take a pic of one of mine to show where it should be.

Through firewall like H2E said. just above the starter solenoid attaching bolts, here is a pic of mine, it's a 70 GTX but I think it's the same.

MINE IS WRONG, the pics below are correct.

Here is a shot on my 69 Charger & 69 Road Runner. They are both factory tach cars. It is the grey wire with a black tracer between the bulkhead conn. and the master cylinder. This should be the same as yours.

I sit corrected....all of mine are through the big bulkhead connector though.....
