okay so with the help of all your posts i found out my temp gauge was burned up thank you all.so upon trouble shooting it i sparked the alt gauge power to the dash did not pop a fuse and no damage that i can see so i installed the new temp gauge from classic car industries and a new circut board with micro chip up date from year one (and year one was cheaper if you can belive that) and add the ground to battery neg to rad support. now the temp does not read but if grounded it goes to peg the oil presurre works maybe 5 psi and also pegs gauge cluster is not screwed in to dash any help will be good i am think ink senders.

Of almost equal importance is the proper function of the dash lights--brake warning, turn signals, and gauge lights.

witch is funny cuz the dash lights do not work and the brake warning pig tail is cut well i rechecked the dash cluster ohm the wires from the temp and oil senders to the dash conecton and they are good and erchecked the new temp gauge and oil gauge and had the dash screwed in well back to the wiring problem.

Okay I found the problem and yes ground problem sanded the dash mounts and the screw mounts on the cluster and they work .
