Stop f'n around and screw in a mechanical gauge fitting.
^^^ Listen to these gentlemen! Until you know IF you have an oil pressure problem, you really don't want to run the engine assuming you are OK.Didn't read all the replies but a 'temp' mechanical gauge will tell you the truth....
Like @Dave6T4 (referenced below), I use my stock gauge in the dash so my car looks factory but plumbed a mechanical gauge that sits on the back of my engine. It's a great additional tool when needed.
With a mechanical gauge you can instantly see if you have an issue. Oil pressure should react pretty much like a tach - when you wing the throttle both should go up quickly.
I also plumbed one into the extra hole at the rear of the engine. This tee's off to a gauge under the dash. With the air cleaner on, it is pretty well hidden.
