Terminator X Stealth Wiring through firewall

Curious where others have the harness passing through the firewall with a terminator X (or any other ecu) in a 68-70 b body. My car has the factor heater box, 4 speed and the engine/dash/heater box is already installed so access is a bit tight for drilling holes. The hole for the ramcharger cable was opened up to about an inch already so that seems like it might be the easiest choice to take to 2". Putting another hole lower down from that point would hide the harness more but access to drill said hole will be tough/may require removal of heater box (no ideal)

I have attached a older photo with those 2 possible spots circled in blue, but am all ears for other options. Car is far from perfect so adding a hole in the firewall is not a huge concern for me.

Mine is dead center above the hump. Drilled the 2" hole then made a plastic two-piece block that the cables go through and it screws in place to cover the hole (photo 2). The heater is in place and the harnesses run UP behind the heater and are looped up under the dash. The ECU and a bunch of other stuff is in the glovebox - which has had the liner removed and a flat floor put in its place. The MSD box is an a bracket behind the ash tray. There is no radio so I made a block off plate with a slot for the handheld cable to pass through and it mounts next to my tach (not shown).

FWIW, I had the heater box in and out FIVE times. Yes, its a PITA BUT the end result was worth the effort. The dash was out by the way !

With the heater box installed the hole is behind it, correct?

Yes. There's sufficient space between the box and firewall to safely run the harness but I did cut a wide enough path in the insulation to run it up through.

Got it, appreciate the photos and replies. One last question, where did you end up mounting your ECU?

I drilled a 2" hole on the passenger side just below the A/C heater box. Unfortunately no better picture but you can see the heater box rubber grommet.

From there I ran the wires to the driver side under dash vent where I mounted the computer.
No picture of the mounted ECU but I made a bracket that holds the ECU to the vent.

I would imagine its more difficult working with the car upside down. You should flip it back over.
