(Circa 1976) It was probably a Friday evening. I was putting along at one or two mph cruising downtown South Main Street in the usual weekend "traffic" of young folks with nothing else to do. Coming from the other direction at about the same speed was Lynn, the 16 year-old I had been dating recently. Linda Rondstat was singing on the radio "You're No Good". I hollered over at Lynn, she stopped, and I asked her to turn her radio to the same AM radio station. She did as I asked, but for some reason it pissed her off and I became the immediate subject of a lecture I thought would never end.
About six months later I attended her church wedding. I guess the next guy that dated her must have proposed. She gave birth once or twice shortly thereafter and then divorced, as often happens to younger kids who "fall in love".
