The Good Ol' Days

I still have my Daisy lever action BB gun that I got when I was 8.

Cars didn't have cup holders in "the good ol days".

...unless your "good ol days" were the mid to late 1980's, and then only Chrysler products had them.

Kind of where I was going with my post....but in a more elegantly verbose and (hopefully) somewhat humorous way.

Family tradition, BB gun at 8, .22 rifle at 10, 12 gauge shotgun at 12.

Used to be that any kid who had the money, no matter how old, could buy a 'six-shooter' cap gun at the five & dime that fired plastic 'bullets'. Great fun and very cool!

I have my dads Browning shotgun with the original box, with postaqe stamps on it. The shotgun was shipped thru the post office! Those were the good old days. 1963 in fact! ruffcut

Still got one, in poor condition. Wish I some the toy guns that were at my mother house that I forgot about.

That's my uncle and me in '69. Apparently this is how it all started.
