Anyone see this yet? After 30 minutes, I walked away from it and that's 15 minutes more than I usually give a movie that doesn't grab me. Thoughts went through my mind that Sony had to do something to get people to go see it. A buddy of mine said that he'll go see it because he feels "it's our civic duty" and well, I didn't have a come back ready for a statement like that lol.

With Seth and James Defranco in it, you'll probably have to be a little ' in the clouds' to appreciate it. Lol

How'd you watched it cranky? I heard it's a funny movie. Did it make u laugh at some point through out those 30 min?

My kids downloaded it & we all watched it on Christmas Eve at home. While it had a couple slightly comical moments, the movie sucked in my opinion. James Franco plays an idiot and Seth Rogan is his usual one-dimensional character to the movie. No matter what movie he is in, it's all the same role with dozens of gratuitous F-bombs all the way through the movie. This guy make jim Carey look like an oscar winner.

I maintain (as stated previously) that the hoopla was a publicity stunt.

Those responsible will now probably never admit it since it's been escalated into the actual international incident it was meant to parody.

However, I did hear mention on the news last night that said there was evidence that the hacking of Sony immediately preceding and sometimes linked to the "interview" incident was...wait for it...an "inside job".

Imagine that.

Lol

A friend of ours loaned us a DVD. Probably pirated and there were a couple of chuckles. I was also watching it with my wife, youngest daughter and granddaughter and didn't particularly like the language too much and don't really care to hear the F work thrown out every couple of seconds no matter who I'm watching it with. And the smelling of the finger comment was just a bit TMO. Not going to give it away for those who haven't seen it but I just wasn't expecting that kind of humor. The grand kid is 20 and I looked at her, my wife and daughter and none of them thought that part was very funny either. I need to go find my copy of Airplane now to get my mind back on line lol

I told my buddy the same thing and he laughed like it could never happen. Simply asked him why was he laughing and if he thought that could never happen. He did say it probably could but it's likely not the case. Uh huh.....sure.

I have not, and will not, watch that crap. Seth Rogan is a total waste of materials IMHO.

I don't watch Movies. Linda sees everything and said it sucked.

I rather watch bacon cook, than watch this movie.....

Despicable people but "doubt it was a publicity stunt

:iamwithstupid: There was allot more complexity to the Sony Hacking than just this lame crappy movie,
allot of private information was released & some personal or even some racist stuff,
that the hypocritical brass at Sony probably didn't want out...

Not to say they aren't above doing such a thing,
because I believe Hollyweird is capable of almost any despicable act,
think of the people & the source, who they represent & what they stand for or back politically...

In this particular case, a really bad movie...
I'm not sure Sony wanted all the rest of the info, that was exposed/hacked out in the public...

Although it's not beyond the realm of possibility, they very well could be that low of a life form...

Even if it a form of freedom of speech...

A bad movie is just that, a Bad Movie...

Although they sure used a crisis to their advantage, they had lemons & made lemonade...
to quote former Obama WH member & current Chicago Mayor D) Rohm Emanuel
"never let a good crisis/disaster go to waste"

Anyone remember "the blair witch project" and the websites and fake news stories that circulated before the release?

One of my friends (who I thought was fairly intelligent) got "got" by that.

When the movie trailer started airing, I laughed my *** off.....

Every five or six years...something like that comes along.

I can wait 'till it comes to TCM:happy1:

If Sonny lives that long.....
