With all this Fabo talk going on here recently, I figured it was time to post some pictures of the Lawn Dart. It is my friends 69 GTS Dart 383 4 speed car. We went and bought the car in 1985 for $900.00 from the local car trader magazine and he has owned the matching numbers car ever since. Due to an oil pressure priming issue when the car was cold,he decided that it was time to rebuild the engine for the second time since he bought it 40 years ago. He had a reputable engine shop go through the engine and break it in,so it is ready to go once we put the car back together. Although I post pictures of what is going on in the garage often, some have said that I get nothing done and post the same 50 year old pictures over and over again. These pictures are from yesterday and I even had my friend ride in the car when we towed it over here making engine noises and chearpin gears all the way. It was a blast.

I was a newlywed when he bought this car. I had to get away from my happy bride long enough to help my friend go buy a car. Lol Now when we bring home a new car,the bride says, that's nice, without even looking at the car, then says don't put it on my grass.

Looks to be a solid car, another car I like 383 4 speed GTS...

Over here at do nothing garage, we put the 383 in the Dart GTS. The valve covers are just for the installation. My friend didn't want to scuff the correct ones.

Since some people say,I have no running cars, the 71 Charger R/T made it safely to work today, and after the 12 hour day made it home safely in time to put a big block in an A body. Pictures show Charger at work, and were taken today.

My friend was going to put the 383 on an engine stand,so after a short discussion,I said lets take it out of the truck and drop it right in the Dart! It went in so nice! Considering the car is a big block A body that's a big deal! We were drinking beers a half hour later!
