Installed the engine last evening after work. Still need to install the wiring harness, headers, one new engine mount, battery tray and several other items but its great to see the engine back where it belongs.

Friggin saweet!!!

Dont you love how these engines slide right in : ) Nice touch with the teal valve covers there

Can you hear her singing to the tune of your right foot.

As I said there are several things that need to be done before the "fire up" but each step taken gets me that much closer to full filling my dream. I need a few parts, please see a few things needed in the wanted thread. Its getting colder here so things will be put on hold until spring. I will also have surgery on my right knee on the 21st. Combine the two and things will come to a stand still. My first thought was of just doing a cosmetic resto but as you can see things got a little out of hand.:icon_winkle:

Red, that truly looks fantastic! Hope you do one of those videos when you get her up and roaring!!

The camera is ready and waiting.....

Don't you just love how easy it is to get the motor in and out of these cars?

I decided to pull mine back out a while back to take off the flexplate, line it up with the new convertor, and mark it so it was a no brainer when it came to bolt them up.

It took less than an hour to unbolt the mounts, pull the engine, pull the plate, re-attach the plate and bolt it all back in!

All by myself I might add!

Hah!!! Mine started with a timing light - and snowballed from there. Seriously, the car looks great. Any other pics? Specs?

Well this is what the engine compartment used to look like.... The black you see was bed liner that had been sprayed over 10 years ago. The engine is a standard bore 1967 383 with 915 heads with comp cams springs and retainers/locks, MP cam, Holley intake, Carter 750 carb, Pertronix conversion and headman headers. I am running a 727 automatic with a modified valve body and 2500 converter and B&M shifter. Rear end is an 8 3/4 with 3:23.1 posi and SS springs.
