In the spring of '71 my parents & I, were looking for a second car since I would be going to college & my mother could use some transportation. We went to the local Dodge dealer one day & there was a row of about 20 A12 Super Bee's & a couple 6 bbl Road Road Runners lined up, factory demos. All priced at $1,200. Every color available on the Super Bee was there. Alas not to be for me, parents knew the insurance cost would be sky high. We eventually settled on a '70 Barracuda Gran Coupe 383 2bbl with a normal insurance rating. The Barracuda did become substantially modified. But those A 12's are still clear in my memory at $1,200.
