THINGS I'M NO LONGER INTERESTED IN:

Cataract surgery will correct that.
Hopefully its not that but I'll find out in the next exam. Was thinking more just age and mileage since I've been viewing computer screens of one sort or another since I was 12 and I'm in my 50s now.

For the politics thing, from comments I've seen and being a democratic leaning (but not loving) Californian I know I would politically be at odds with some here, but so what? I used to almost live at a race track that made it a point to be a safe neutral zone for the gangs, Bloods, Crips, 18th st etc to be in the same place and not fight. All for the common love of cars and racing. So if those guys can do that we can all talk about old Mopars in peace. Just don't call me a libtard because A) the joke is old and played out and B) I'm just a regular tard :bananadance:

All you can eat buffets. Not such a good value these days.

Qualifier: Unless I'm in Vegas.

I’m assuming you know the story of Otis Chandler and “Big Willie” Robinson, back when our cars were new. Better than the “Black Ghost” story, but never got the hype.

I do Big Willie's story, or a version of it. The rack I'm referring to was his, Brotherhood Raceway on Terminal Island. He was always cool to me but I interacted more with Tomiko, she was always really nice about letting me bracket race my super slow junk. I used to spend a lot of time with his brother Heavy who was quite a character, might still be, no idea if he is around and kicking or not.

Christ, no kidding, man.
A man holds the door open for another and the ungrateful recipient just walks right in.
A motorist slows down to let another car pull out of a side street and the recipient doesn't even wave.
A buyer at a swap meet tells you that your prices are lower than everyone else's but still tries to negotiate a lower price on something you already have listed at half the market rate.

I have dealt with all of those just in the last month. The LAST one really pissed me off. This young guy I met at a swap meet bought a few things but needed more stuff and came to my house. He had the balls to offer $10 for a seat for a Duster, one that had almost perfect upholstery. I politely declined but when he called a month later, I let loose on him. I told him how rude he was and that he needs to learn when to spot a good deal and when to quit pushing. I had exactly what he needed yet I turned him away because no amount of money would sway me from being pissed off.

That is awesome.

The year or so that track was open in the 90s is still a highpoint in my life, I loved that place. Any other track since then has been a let down for me.

I struggle more with night driving now, the glare from other lights annoy the hell out of me. It’s easier when I’m in my landcruiser because it’s tall and also has slightly upgraded lighting, but that sucks because it’s the least cool car in the fleet to drive unless I’m going to the off-road park.
especially ford pick ups , ford d0esnt know how to aim headlights /after all this time !!
