Guys,
I'm thinking of buying this car (maybe trading for my dart). Any advice , tips? Obviously it's a BBlock candidate. How much should I offer.

My first impression is that's a good car. It has some paint issues....chipping off along the trim and above the trim on the front of the hood. Then I was looking at the pic of the left quarter and I see what appears to be a "ring" around the left rear wheel.

I'd go see this in person, but somehow my gut still says good car.

The car looks good. I like the color combo too. The interior seems complete and in good shape. Whatever you offer, just factor in the paint job costs if that's what direction you're going in. The trim looks good so that's a plus.

I've shopped around a lot recently and without seeing it I'd say maybe 7k is a good start. Seems like a decent solid car but the 6cyl is going to redudce the value a bit, that's just my opinion.

Drive it or build it ?

I like the car a lot and I can't remember when I last saw that model on the road ! I did the same thing because I wanted to be different ! Here is a before and after pic. It takes a lot of everything to build something special. If you just want a driver offer 5k, find a cheap big block, stuff it in there and have some fun. Anything more will surprise you ! I thought I would just resto it and enjoy, but as I began I needed to do much more than I thought, and decide to go all the way and make it a beast !! Mario

Check the cowl underneath the dash. If it has rust, be prepared for some bodywork because the condition of the cowl is a good representation of the overal condition of the car. If you find a bad cowl, there's a 100% chance that you will find more "dissapearing" sheetmetal on non visual places...

Don't know for sure but it looks like the wrong mirror...5K-6K will be mor than fair.

Good luck!!

How much does he want? Ask him what's the lowest he'll take, then tell him the most you'll give. Looks like a $4-5k car but hard to tell from here. I love that body style! Good Luck!

I would think ballpark around 6500 / 7k ...if underneath looks like top side....we get a lot of snow [ salt ] in this part of North America so something this old and this clean is a rare animal out left and above
