$6500 BIN

400 4 speed

...but where would I put it?

...and I'd need to put a wheel grappler (or what ever it's called) on

...and let's discuss how cool it is, NOT how overpriced it is.

actually, its not that bad of a price.
has the typical rust issues for those era trucks but, really, not bad at all.
those seats are out of a dodge van camper rv,so they wouldnt be hard to replace.
the grill, looks super clean and has no logos.

if you had the money, this wouldnt be a bad project.
finding a clubcab wrecker cant be common these days, esp with a factory big block 4 speed.
i wonder if its the same truck as was used in the ad??

Factory Dodge wreckers weren't common at all, at least where I grew up.

Let alone a club cab.

What are the odds those seats might be factory?

They sure look "right".

its entirely possible,i think the floor pans are identical for the campers too tho,so no clue.
whats really unique is the center console setup, its almost like a ramcharger setup.
id agree with you and call the whole setup factory.
it would be interesting to see the factory jump seats in the back of the cab.

also,i can deffo tell you ive had the exact same front seats laying around for years,
was gonna use them inna rat rod never got around to it and finally tossed them out.
they too came out of a 77 rv/campervan.

Ad shows window sticker-

KA5- deluxe vinyl DR and pass seat.

...and YE0/YE1 "bucket seat"

listed as two separate option lines.

Also says "rear flip seat" (not "seats")

as a young kid I was always drawn to station wagons, tow trucks and ambulances.

Sadly the 80 s and early 90 s dodge trucks did not make good wreckers, the just was not strong enuff

Gonna have to disagree on "not strong enough".

Same basic package 64-71 was "strong enough".

I blame not enough attention to market segment/ hell even blatant abandonment of heavy and medium duty truck market during those times.

it does have '80 and up fenders. This is what Cooter should have been running around in.

1980 was the last year for the 1972 style fenders, doors, and cab.
The hood changed in '79.

...and let's discuss how cool it is, NOT how overpriced it is.
you just eliminated 1/2 your audience now :poke:

I was gonna' say or how rusty :poke: it is
but from where it is, not too bad
but it's not a true 77 anymore either

we had plenty of the Dodge wreckers out west

Pretty sure it's still a 77.

Just needs 72-80 fenders and doors put back on.

I think it actually looks good with the 81-92 fenders and the 77/78 grill and 72-79 hood.

Those 81 and up fenders are WAY easier to find than 72-80 parts in un-rusted, un-dented condition.
