Hi everyone. I am new to this forum and want to say hello. I also have a question I hope someone can help with. I just installed a hemi in my 1969 Road Runner. It has Indy heads and an Indy 2X4 manifold. The problem is the old throttle cable will not work. The manifold is too tall to clamp the ferrule on the cable and the inner cable is too long since it's intended for a single four barrel in the center of the manifold. The back carburetor is much closer. I am not sure any of the Mopar throttle cables will work. I would prefer the look of the Mopar cable if possible. I am hoping someone out there has already faced this problem and has found a solution. I think I can pick up a Lokar throttle cable but I am not clear on how it would work on the gas pedal side since it has a somewhat different setup.

Any ideas are welcome.

Thank you, I called Mancini and they measured a hemi cable and it was shorter than the one I have ferrule to ferrule.

Hummmm.........

I'd like to think everyone will see this post in here, but try reposting it in the racers section. Maybe someone who races a Hemi with a rat roaster etc will know what to do

Try a slant 6 cable. Those are usually the longest.

the lokar will work. I have one on my 67 coronet and a mancini tall manifold bracket. see photos!

Here is a short update. I think the cable wasn't the problem but the throttle bracket, which was too tall and too close to the back carb. I bought it from Indy and just assumed it was the correct part. I put on a hemi throttle bracket and cable for now. I works OK but the geometry is off and it is in a little bit of a bind. I think I have found someone who sells a setup specifically for this application. I will know today. This Stage V intake is pretty common on hemi engines so I would think there is something out there for this setup.
