I have only had 1 71' Charger 500 over the years and 3 71' challengers but this post sure has me liking 71' Chargers a lot more....
Oh, and I currently have a 74' New Yorker loaded and with a 440.

Right there with you and I have never owned one. Got the crave for a plain Jane '71 with the NON hide away grilles and standard tail lights. All satin black, no vinyl top, NO Spoilers, bench seat, sweep gauge cluster and a nice set of rims/tires. I know '71s didn't have power bulge hoods, but I would put one on. No hood pins, no hood openings or scoops. A stock 383, 400 or 440 with headers.

It looks like a 1/1 car
Triple black with strob
Rallye charger 340 automatic 8 3/4 489 sure grip 3.55 gears
Sunroof ,power windows bucket s floor shift and rallye gauge's with a tac!
It would be what I would consider the god car of 73 -74. Era !!!
Sadly it is very rough and has no title it has rusty frames floors roof skin ..... But it dies have nice stuff and I'll make my money back on it (it was bought for a older guy I Know from a member here. But after he saw it he had a fit saying it was in restorable... So I bought him out and decided to just part it ! But still a cool car I am going to hang it's hood as wall art (its dented up bad but no rust )

I agree ! It's super rare but it's rough! In some spots surprisingly good but other major spots it's bad ! Car had a rough life!
