timing issue

Alright mopar gurus Im in need of info. 1966 383 spearatic spark on number one ruff idle clears up off of idle.

Switch the ignition wire to another cylinder and see if the miss follows.

tried that still there checked the dizzy lobes look worn down. still has points

If the dwell still reads good,try changing that spark plug to another hole.If it doesn't change you can try a another distributor and see if that works.Hope you can borrow one for a few hours!

Check the cap for carbon tracking and build-up also

Check the shaft bushings in the distrib usually show up more at low speed if worn.

I agree with what these guys said. If you still have points there's not much else to go wrong, if you can't isolate the problem to an individual plug or wire
