Torq Thrust VN 309 15x 8.5 in the rear

I’m building a 69 Roadrunner and wanted to run the VN309 Torq-Thrust Wheels 15 in. x 8.5 in., 5 x 4.50 in. Bolt Circle, 3.81 in. Backspace. I’m concerned about quarter panel clearance. Appears these wheels are popular but similar appearing wheels by a handful of manufacturers with slightly different backspace. I know a 8” will fit, is anyone running the 8.5” x 15?

It’s the tire bulge you need to look out for. A 275-60-15 fits just right on that rim, but due to the quarter panel lip, you may need to run a 255-60-15. Bolt the rim on and then get your measurements, then find the measurements for the tires. Buy accordingly.

I'm assuming there isn't an alternative backspace. 4.5 bs would fit much better.
The 3.81 will probably mean something less than maximum tire size.
I have a couple pair of 15x8 1/2 rims with 3.1/2 bs, that won't fit anything I own. A large enough tire to match the wheel width will not clear the fender. Those your looking at are only 5/16 farther away.
If 15x8 has same or more bs, I would absolutely buy the 15x8.
Edit: the 15x8.5s that fit my 69 runner have 4 7/8 bs. With 295/55x15s
