Torque converter bolts.

Menards sells bolt and thread pitch gauges just like the hardware store has when checking your bolts you bring in on the cheap to buy. Great tool to have
I was looking on Lowe’s and Home Depot’s sites. They don’t have 5/16 24 only 5/16 18. I don’t have a Menards but I do have a Tractor supply. They have a great selection of fasteners.

I was getting a vibration when driving my charger. Felt like it was in the transmission. So I figured it’s an half wa decent day, and look at what I found. I’m just gonna order a set. I just hope this is the problem. I really don’t want to check the others without having a new one to replace this missing one.

I was able to see what I’m dealing with now.

Yep I could see in the picture that did not look like the flex plate was aligned properly to get all 4 into the converter...
I'm going to remove the fan so I can spin the engine from the crank. Then take all 4 out. Wish me luck.

Should be able to leave the fan on use a 1/2 ratchet, short extension and 1 1/4 inch socket and do it from underneath... If you had the starter in it, you could bump the motor over with a remote starter switch connected to the starter relay...

The last bolt I pulled out and it looks like someone had a hard time with this flex plate.

With the starter out and converter bolts out you are not far from fixing it the right way.. Pull the trans and put another flex plate on. When you have it out take the new flex plate and line it up with the converter holes and paint the plate and converter on one hole that way it’s easy to see and line up when reassembling it..

I will save that when the engine is pulled out at the body shop. For now I was able to line all four up. Just waiting for new fasteners to come. I bought ¾”, but they are too long. At least I can finish this up tomorrow.
