So I remember back when I had my 68 Mustang GT I continually was getting my transmission rebuilt because it would blow up like a week after being fixed at the transmission shop and then one day I was talking to an old school ford guy and he said I needed to use F type transmission fluid and most of the transmission repair places just put universal fluid in the transmissions but that was what was causing my transmission to blow up. Well put type F in it and never had a problem again. So are there any tricks like that with Mopars? Like only certain fluids or filters?

Most older Mopars use Dexron. Some might use a synthetic if the trans is built up. Also possibly an additive like trick shift!
