Hi there. I was hoping to finally start my fresh 400 build but looks like my driveshaft which is being cut balanced and so on is gonna be longer than I'd like. Can I start the engine without the driveshaft or will transmission fluid spill out from the tail shaft? If so, would one of those caps prevent it from leaking all over? Just trying to get an ideas of what I can do and can't do but would like to try to finally start the engine. Thank you.

Yes, it will pour fluid out without the drive shaft in place.
Oh thank you. I was thinking about putting a yolk in it, but also thought about going through the gears and that spinning and of course falling out, but thanks so much for the help.
