I bought some 66-67 hardtop trim and this piece of trim was in the lot and have been drawing a blank on what its for. It might be for some other model year however everything else he had was for the 66-67 model and fit either Coronet/Satellite/Belvedere/GTX's so hence the reason for posting in this section.

The trim is aluminum and it is 56 1/4" long and there is no difference in ends.

Any ideas on its application?

Thanks for any input

Looks like trim for a Challenger decklid...

The pictured trim molding is for the trunk lid edge on a 1971-1974 Challenger.

The following images show one on my 1970 Challenger T/A. I purchased these from Chrysler in the 1980s to replace my damaged original items. The later part is also is the superseded replacement style from Chrysler for the 1970 only part. The difference is a small character line along the trim.

'70 is it's own trim. The one you replaced it with is the 71-4 version as they change the qtr. extension trim also to match that molded line...
