Want to replace my trunk weather stripping but found that they offer flat which is more of a Y laid on its side and D shaped seal. I am assuming mine is flat but after 56 years even if it started out D shaped I would think it would be flat. What say You?

I totally agree and would go with the improved Y version....

I could be wrong but I believe that flat is factory. Have you seen any that have pre-form corners?, I saw one once but can't remember who had it.

It is but what they show is not flat......

I bought my 65 coronet trunk seal from Clester's Auto Rubber Seals in North Carolina. Its profile was identical to the original. Believe it only cost $25.

I just replaced the factory seal with the one from DMT. The factory seal is the Y shape and so is DMTs.
