Just bought a set of TTI 440-200 headers for my 70RR. It says they won’t clear Cylinder Head Studs on the drivers side. Anyone know if you can just grind down the stud to make them fit? I already ground them down a little to fit the Hooker SuperComps on the car currently. Just asking because I don’t think I will be able to pull the studs in the car to change to bolts in the car.

Thanks!

No photos because don’t have the headers yet

I use studs with 2" tti's in my 65 coronet and fit was good and easy. The 440 in my 65 sits a little difrrently than yours and i don't have power steering. I think power steering might be the real wild card.

I'm using the TTI 400IB-218 of my 65. They are the ones that fit my Indy aluminum block. The engine has ARP head studs and they do hit the flange enough so they won't sit flush to the heads. Easy deal to use a flap wheel on the inside lower corner of the flanges to gain stud clearance. I also ordered mine uncoated as I figured they would need some tweaking in places to clear various areas, even though they are made for this application.
