I purchased a transmission from a guy with a 67 charger because he went with a new hemi and transmission. I checked the numbers on the side of the train by the pan and it is a 67 727 big block transmission. I took the trans pan off and noticed valve body said cheetah 17154. I bought a deeper pan and filter extension and was tearing it down today to start the rebuild process and noticed the valve body and trans filter has two holes in it a filter extension for a 67 only comes with one hole in it. I did some research and one hole is for the rear pump I believe but seeing how this is not a push button trans can I still just use the one hole filter extension? Any help is very much appreciated.
